CLLDF at Fan Expo Vancouver

The CLLDF will be in booth PR18 in the Artist Alley at this year’s Vancouver Fan Expo (April 18 – 20, 2014) at the Vancouver Trade and Convention Centre West building.  We’ll have signed books, prints and t-shirts available for sale.

Creators scheduled to sign in the booth are:

  • Colin Lorimer (Harvest, UXB, Curse) on Saturday, from 1 – 3PM
  • Steve Rolston (Ghost Projekt, Emiko Superstar, The Escapists) on Sunday, from noon – 1PM
  • James Lloyd (Futurama, The Simpsons) on Sunday, from 1 – 2PM

CLLDF at the Calgary Comic Entertainment Expo 2014

David Lloyd, co-creator of V for Vendetta, writer/artist of Kickback, and artist on Hellblazer, Aliens, Global Frequency, War Stories, and many other projects will be meeting his fans and signing all weekend in the CLLDF booth (Y 08) at Calgary Expo (April 24 – 27). Lloyd currently edits and publishes an exclusively digital comic anthology, Aces Weekly (, which features top talent from around the world. He also helps manage the educational website, Cartoon Classroom (, which aims to centralize all information on the study of cartooning and sequential art in Britain and Ireland.

CLLDF fundraising auction ft. KYLE CHARLES (’68)

Here are the details for the auction;

For public auction are 5 pieces of original art created by Edmonton based KYLE CHARLES, the new ongoing artist of Image Comics’ ’68 series. The pieces are as follows;

Justice League #1 blank variant, featuring Aquaman <code JL1>
Swamp Thing #14 blank variant, featuring Swamp Thing <code ST14>
Daredevil #1 blank variant, featuring Daredevil <code DD1>
Amazing Spider-Man #648 blank variant featuring Spider-Man <code AMS648>
A 22 by 28 Bristol board black-and-white drawing of Batman and the Joker, drawn at the Edmonton Expo on September 28 <code BMB&W>

All bids are to be made directly to our TWITTER feed (@clldf) via the following method – <code><bid amount>
Minimum bids for each item are $20.00.
Bid increments of $2.50, please.
All bids placed through TWITTER will be considered an agreement to purchase the bid upon item.
The highest bid at the time of closing will be considered the winner.
The winner of each item will be contacted on Nov 13 to arrange payment.
Payments can be made through PayPal or Visa, MasterCard or American Express.
All bids will be in Canadian funds with 100% of the monies going directly to the Comic Legends Legal Defense Fund.
Shipping, worldwide, will be free and will be within 48 hours of payment for the auction item.

CLLDF Twitter Auction: Art by Kyle Charles

The Comic Legends Legal Defense Fund is pleased to announce its first Twitter auction, featuring five pieces of art donated by Kyle Charles, the new ongoing artist for Image’s ’68 series. The auction begins November 7.

The five pieces are four blank covers featuring full-colour art (Justice League #1, featuring Aquaman; Swamp Thing #14, featuring Swamp Thing; Daredevil #1, featuring Daredevil; and Amazing Spider-Man #648) and one 22 by 28 Bristol board black-and-white drawing of Batman and the Joker, drawn live at the Edmonton Expo on September 28.


The auction will end on November 12 at midnight, with all proceeds going to the CLLDF. Payment will be accepted via PayPal, Visa, MasterCard or American Express.

Our Cory Lewis-designed shirts can now be ordered through the mail!  Available sizing: Ladies S, M, and L, and Mens S, M, L, XL, and XXL.  The easiest way to order one is by making a donation to the Fund, using the button on the right side of this page.  Be sure to give us your mailing address and shirt size in the “special instructions.”

Shirts are $20 each.  Shipping via Canada Post.  Canadian orders, please add $13.40 for shipping ($33.40 total).  American orders, please add $8.00 for shipping ($28 total).
